I didn’t know much about Chrisophter Hitchens until after he died. It was the headline on Drew Curtis’ Fark.com this day in 2011 that grabbed my attention. I have since read Hitchens’ books, devoured his debates, listened to his interviews and lectures, and I remain above all, inspired by his passion for truth and his unceasing defense of enlightenment values. It is after all, up to each of us to defend those enlightenment values. Was he perfect? Of course not. Was he good at what he did? Absolutely!
